A person has been taken into custody after allegedly making serious threats toward a medical facility in northern Arizona, prompting a lockdown and a police response.
The situation unfolded in Page, where authorities say the suspect was arrested Friday morning following a reported incident the night before. According to police, the case began just after 10:30 p.m. when officers received information that someone had called a medical facility and issued threats.
Officials said the caller threatened to kill both staff members and Native Americans during the phone call. In response to the alarming situation, employees at the facility immediately placed the building on lockdown as a precaution while law enforcement worked to identify the individual responsible.
Police were able to track down the suspect and eventually arrested the person outside their home. Authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control once the individual was taken into custody.
The suspect now faces multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, threatening and intimidating, and making terroristic threats. Officials have not publicly released the identity of the person involved.
In a statement shared on social media, the Page Police Department expressed support for how the medical staff handled the situation. The department said it was grateful for their decision to initiate a lockdown, noting that the action helped ensure safety until officers were able to arrest the suspect and secure the scene.
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
