Aldi shoppers in Arizona are being urged to check their freezers after a nationwide recall of a popular frozen meatball product. Nearly 9,500 pounds of Bremer Italian Style Meatballs were pulled from shelves after a customer reported finding metal fragments in the food, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recall was issued Feb. 22 by Rosina Food Products, Inc., the New York-based manufacturer. Aldi followed with its own notice the next day, confirming that all affected bags had been removed from stores. The product was sold in 35 states and Washington, D.C., including Arizona.

• Establishment number: EST. 4286B inside the USDA inspection mark
The meatballs are fully cooked, ready-to-eat, and have a 15‑month shelf life.
