A nationwide recall has been issued for a dietary supplement after federal regulators discovered several undeclared ingredients that could pose serious health risks, according to a Jan. 9 notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The product, Modern Warrior “Ready”, marketed for “mental clarity,” was found to contain three unlisted substances: tianeptine, 1,4‑DMAA, and aniracetam. The supplement is sold in a black bottle with gold accents and contains 60 capsules. It was distributed online to consumers across the United States between April 2022 and Dec. 8, 2025.
Why the Recall Matters
FDA officials warn that tianeptine has been linked to life‑threatening events, including suicidal thoughts or behavior in people 25 and younger. Overdose symptoms may include confusion, seizures, extreme drowsiness, dry mouth, and shortness of breath.
The stimulant 1,4‑DMAA can elevate blood pressure and may trigger cardiovascular problems such as chest tightening, shortness of breath, or even heart attack.
What Consumers Should Do
Regulators urge anyone who purchased the Modern Warrior Ready supplement to stop using it immediately. The recall was initiated voluntarily by the manufacturer after FDA testing confirmed the undeclared ingredients.
The FDA’s investigation is ongoing.
