Salad and Go, the fast-casual drive-thru restaurant chain best known for fresh salads, wraps, breakfast burritos and more, is planning to move its corporate headquarters back to Arizona, reversing a previous relocation to Texas that happened in recent years. The company originally began in Gilbert and was long based in Arizona before shifting its main office to Coppell, Texas, as part of rapid expansion across multiple states including Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada.
In connection with the clubhouse move back to Arizona, the chain is also adjusting its broader footprint. Last year, Salad and Go announced it would permanently close dozens of locations in Texas and Oklahoma — a total of 41 stores — including all sites in Houston, San Antonio and Austin and some in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Those closures were part of a strategic effort by new CEO Mike Tattersfield to concentrate the company’s resources in stronger markets while positioning for more sustainable growth. Arizona locations, especially in Phoenix and Tucson, were not affected by the closures and will continue operations normally.
Salad and Go was founded in 2013 in Gilbert, Arizona, by co-owners Tony and Roushan Christofellis, and it quickly grew from a local concept into a multi-state chain known for making fresh, nutritious meals affordable and convenient through its all-drive-thru model. The company’s menu includes a variety of salads with optional proteins like chicken, steak or tofu, breakfast burritos and bowls, soups and handcrafted beverages.
While its corporate headquarters moved out of state after that rapid growth phase, the decision to relocate back to Arizona reflects both its roots and strong customer base in the state. Leaders of the company say this shift will help enhance operational focus and reaffirm Arizona as a central hub for future development, including possible new locations, menu innovation and community engagement across the Southwest.
