A new baseball museum highlighting Arizona’s rich connection to America’s pastime is set to open later this month inside Frasher’s Tavern in Old Town Scottsdale.
The exhibit, called the Old Town Baseball Experience, will be operated by the nonprofit Arizona Baseball Legacy and Experience (ABLE) and located at Drinkwater Boulevard and Indian School Road.
The museum will showcase the state’s deep baseball roots, from early “Outlaw” leagues to the rise of spring training, the modern Cactus League, and Scottsdale’s long‑standing high school baseball tradition.
“Baseball is a unique part of Arizona and Scottsdale, and the Old Town Baseball Experience celebrates that relationship,” said Mike Phillips, ABLE board president. “It will be a place to enjoy the sport with others, learn about the sport and honor the sport.”
Frasher’s Tavern owner George Frasher is contributing his extensive personal memorabilia collection, which is being expanded through the partnership with ABLE. He said the project continues the legacy of beloved Scottsdale baseball landmarks such as the Pink Pony and Don & Charlie’s.
“We are excited about teaming up with ABLE and making Frasher’s a gathering place for the baseball community and fans of our national pastime,” Frasher said.
The museum will also host baseball presentations, group gatherings, and feature a bookstore with titles focused on the sport’s history and culture.
An opening date and operating hours have not yet been announced. Admission will be free.
