The Arizona Renaissance Festival returns for its 38th annual season, transforming a 50-acre site into a lively 16th-century English village filled with chivalry, entertainment, feasting, and adventure.
Running from January 31 through March 29, 2026, the festival operates every Saturday and Sunday, plus Presidents’ Day Monday (February 16), from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Open rain or shine, it takes place just east of Apache Junction on U.S. Highway 60 in Gold Canyon, Arizona (12601 E. US Highway 60, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118), about 45 minutes east of Phoenix.
Billed as a medieval amusement park, 16-stage theater, arts and crafts fair, jousting tournament, and feast all in one, the event offers non-stop family-friendly fun.
Highlights include daily jousting tournaments, birds of prey displays, games of skill like axe throwing and archery, interactive performances, comedy acts, sword swallowing, a live mermaid exhibit, and a petting zoo.
The Artisan Marketplace features handcrafted, period-themed goods from merchants nationwide and beyond.
Food options abound with classics like “steak on a stake,” giant turkey legs, sausages, and more. Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume—rentals are available on-site—and immerse themselves in the whimsical atmosphere.
The festival features themed weekends to add variety, along with ongoing entertainment and shopping throughout the grounds.
For the most current ticket prices, themed weekend details, and additional information, check the official site or ticketing platforms, as specifics can vary.
