The Arizona Balloon Classic returns January 16–18, 2026, bringing three days of hot‑air balloon races, glowing evening displays, food, music, and family‑friendly entertainment to the Wild Horse Pass Festival Grounds in Chandler. Morning ascensions lift off around 7:30 a.m. each day, followed by official balloon competition tasks on Saturday and Sunday as pilots navigate toward targets placed on the festival field. After sunset, the popular “Desert Glows” illuminate the grounds with tethered balloons lighting up in synchronized color.
Festivalgoers can enjoy the 9th Annual Street FoodFest, live and DJ music, beer tents, and opportunities to book full balloon rides or kid‑friendly tethered experiences. Pets are welcome, and accessible parking is available. Parking fills quickly for the evening glows, with organizers recommending arrival by 3 p.m. Tickets are required for each morning and evening session unless guests purchase an all‑weekend pass. All balloon activities remain weather‑dependent.
