Tempe police and a family are urgently searching for a 91-year-old man who went missing on Monday. Officers say the elderly man was last seen near South Rural Road and East Broadway Road around 5:30 p.m. and has not been heard from since. Family members reported him missing after he failed to return home.
Authorities describe the man as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 165 pounds, with gray hair and glasses. At the time he disappeared, he was wearing a tan shirt and blue pants. Police and loved ones are growing increasingly concerned for his safety due to his age and any potential medical conditions that may affect his well-being.
Tempe police officers, along with family members, have been conducting searches of the area where he was last seen. They are asking anyone with information or who may have seen the man since Monday evening to contact the Tempe Police Department immediately. Tips from the public are considered vital as efforts continue to locate him.
The department reminded the community that even small details could help in finding the missing man safely and urged residents to check their yards, porches, vehicles or other nearby areas where he might have wandered. Officials say the search is ongoing and that more resources could be deployed depending on any new information that comes in.
